Michael Arnaud is the Associate Director for Gender and Gender-Based Violence at Action Against Hunger Canada, an international humanitarian organization fighting the causes and consequences of severe and acute malnutrition in more than 50 crisis-affected countries. In his current role, he supervises the strategic and technical direction for the organization internationally for gender mainstreaming and the prevention of gender-based violence in their operations. As a defender of a people-centred approach, he advocates within its organization for a change in the balance of power in the humanitarian system. Trained a lawyer in humanitarian law, he has been working for 9 years n gender, equality, diversity and gender-based violence in various contexts, including Burkina Faso, Haiti, Vietnam and the Occupied Palestinian Territory. He is an active supporter of LGBTQI+ people’s human rights.
